Product Development and Branding

Branding has always been a curiosity of mine since I was a small 8-year-old boy working the concession stand at my family owned cinema. Back then, I drank Coca-Cola and was loyal to that brand even outside of the cinema, that question of loyalty always puzzled me as to why. Sure, there’s many factors to this, but it was the Coca-Cola logo, bottle shape, colors and slogan that really locked me in at the time. Even at an early age I felt the power of this and when I was in school at that young age I would make and sell cinnamon flavored tooth picks to other kids at recess. It got popular, then other kids started doing the same. So, I change the way I packaged the tooth picks to my own style and started offering other flavors in the same unique packaging. I didn’t realize it then but I was creating my first branded product.

My career in media design and management has always been heavy on maintaining and creating a brand for the client. Be it TV Commercials, Print, Outdoor Advertising, Digital and Social Media the branding has to always be consistent and connect to the consumer in a visceral but basic manor. I may have graduated from toothpick sales to alcohol sales and a lot in-between but the concepts are the same. Develop a creative and instantly recognizable brand with appropriate colors, composition and slogan that easily identifies the product or company.

Managing and working alongside strong, gifted professionals in product development, manufacturing, graphic arts, photography, sales and logistics. I’ve had the pleasure to be a major part of many successful branding endeavors, both in the US and abroad.
